I wrote my first recipe book!
For the past two years, I’ve had many requests to write a recipe book and I’m so grateful that this is now a reality.
What started out as a “perk” as part of my fundraising campaign to raise enough money to cover my tuition fees of USD6000 for the MIT Beyond Food Bootcamp has turned into a journey of learning, discovery, exploration and above all, joy.
This book has 21 healthy, delicious recipes from Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Korea. These are dishes that I personally used to love and enjoy and have converted them into raw vegan versions, using raw food techniques.
At the point of writing, there are very few raw vegan Malaysian and Asian recipes that have been published, thus I decided I would develop and document them so that you too can make them at home. For some recipes such as the ondeh-ondeh, sotong masak kicap or chilli pan mee, these might possibly be the world’s first raw vegan versions to be made and published!
My hope is that these recipes will also encourage you to re-create your very own favourite Asian dishes in your kitchen.
