This is a mini-course that reveals the secrets of using nuts, seeds and superfoods to make these nourishing festival goodies.

They are dairy-free, egg-free, lard-free, gluten-free and refined sugar-free.

How it started

It was around 2008 or 2009, when I actually attended a mooncake workshop and learnt how to make traditional mooncakes as well as snow skin ones. At that time, we had to use the traditional wooden moulds and it was really tricky trying to get the mooncake out of it. I don’t think I ever tried making them at home because hitting a block of wood on the kitchen counter and praying hard that your mooncake will turn out beautiful was just not my kind of thing.

Fast forward to 2016 and I was testing and developing raw vegan mooncakes every day for an entire month. People got curious about my raw vegan mooncakes and started requesting for me to sell them. That year, I made more more than 100 mooncakes by hand for sale.

My mooncake recipes have evolved over the years. I've taught how to make these in Chiang Mai, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Petaling Jaya. In fact, I was also invited to teach how to make raw vegan mooncakes at the Bali Vegan Festival 2018 both in Ubud as well as Canggu.

These mooncakes have also appeared on the menu of my fine dining pop-up experiences. Which means if you enrol in this course, you'll have access to the exact same recipes that were served at my raw vegan dinners. 

Now in 2020, I have collected the different mooncake recipes I've developed and put them into this mini course for you to enjoy all in one place!

About Raw Chef Yin - Raw Vegan Celebrity Chef & Educator

Raw Chef Yin is Malaysia’s very own raw vegan celebrity chef, author and TEDx speaker. She has a law degree but left her jet-setting corporate job to don a chef’s jacket instead. 1. How do I pay for the class?
You can pay via credit card, debit card or PayPal.

2. Can I download the videos?
Yes.

3. Can I stream the videos?
Yes, although it's recommended to use a desktop computer or laptop to stream the videos.

4. Do the downloads expire?
No, you'll have unlimited access to the videos! And yes, you can come back & make all the recipes again & again.

5. Is everything raw vegan?
Nine are raw vegan recipes. One is cooked vegan. 

6. Are these pre-recorded videos?
Yes, so you can watch it at your convenience.

7. Do I need any special equipment to make this?
You'll need to use mooncake moulds which can be easily bought online. For most recipes, you require a food processor. You need a kitchen scale to weigh your ingredients. A pot and stove is required for the agar-agar mooncake. 

8. Are there recipes gluten-free?
Yes! All recipes are gluten-free.

9. Are there any nut-free recipes?
SIX of the mooncake recipes are nut-free. One of the recipes can be made nut-free if you substitute the almonds for coconut flour. So in total, you get SEVEN nut-free recipes :)

10. I'm in Malaysia. Can I still sign up? It's in USD, not Ringgit.

11. Do I need any baking tools for this? 

Dah-ling, this is a mostly raw vegan course. I don't bake. I don't even have an oven! All I have are 2 dehydrators and a mere toaster oven. I hope that answers your question. Please read answer to question 7 as well.
