About 2 weeks ago, I was googling for vegan Sri Lankan recipes and found a jackfruit seed curry recipe. I thought this was interesting as I’ve seen lots of young jackfruit curries but this was a curry using the SEEDS of the jackfruit.

But after that, when I tried to access the link again, this was the error message that popped up:
There has been a critical error on this website.

So I looked for alternative recipes and found one on Jeyashri’s Kitchen instead.

As I usually order 4 small containers of fresh jackfruit every week, I really wanted to try making this curry for Mr Jazz Guitarist. Normally I just boil the seeds and we eat it as a snack. I was really curious to see how it can be turned into a curry.

Here are the ingredients used to make the curry:

INGREDIENTS

2.5 cups jackfruit seeds
3 tsp oil ~ omitted
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp fennel seeds crushed
Few curry leaves
1 slit green chili
1 onion finely chopped
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tomato finely chopped
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp coriander powder
Salt as needed
½ cup water to boil to cook the seeds
1 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves - I used it all up this morning, oops

It turned out really delicious.
